1858Direct. Angl. 233 Ministerium, the Epistle corner of the altar. So called from the Sacred Ministers preparing the chalice, &c., there when the elements are removed from the credence.
2. The body of ordained ministers of the Lutheran church in any district, charged with the ruling of the congregation and the selection of candidates for clerical preferment.
