▪ I. orology, oreology|ɒˈrɒlədʒɪ, ɒriːˈəʊl-| [f. Gr. ὄρος, ὄρε- mountain + -logy. As to the two forms see orography.] The scientific study of mountains; the branch of geology or of physical geography which treats of mountains.
