orycterope Zool.|ɒˈrɪktərəʊp| [a. F. oryctérope, ad. mod.L. Orycteropus (-pod-), f. Gr. ὀρυκτήρ digger + πούς, ποδ- foot. Now usually in L. form.] A mammal of genus Orycteropus: = aardvark.
