The eighteenth class in the Linnæan Sexual System, comprising plants whose flowers have the stamens united in three or more bundles. Hence ˈpolyadelph (rare—0), a plant of this class; polyaˈdelphian (rare—0), polyaˈdelphous adjs., belonging to this class; having the stamens so united; also said of such stamens.
