poˈrodinous, a. Geol. rare. [Improperly f. Ger. porodine (Breithaupt 1832) (f. Gr. πωρώδης having the form of stalactite (f. πῶρος hardened stone, stalactite): see -ine2) + -ous. A better form would be porodine, like crystalline, hyaline.] See quot.
