Cruickshank Soil Geogr. iv. 142 Some Aridisols do have a clay-rich sub-surface horizon, but most are composed of larger size particles and stones. 1980E. A. FitzPatrick Soils v. 138 Some Aridisols occur in semiarid areas because the soils are slowly permeable and most of the water is lost by run-off. |
