rhagon|ˈrægɒn| [mod.L., f. Gr. ῥαγ-, ῥάξ grape.] A type occurring as a stage in the development of some sponges, so called from the botryoidal form of its flagellated chambers. Hence ˈrhagose a., having the characters of a rhagon.
