rufo-|ˈruːfəʊ| comb. form (on Greek types) of L. rūfus red, in some adjs. denoting colour, with sense ‘rufous’, as rufo-fulvous, rufo-piceous, rufo-testaceous; also rufo-catechuic acid, rubinic acid.
