rumänite Min.|ruːˈmeɪnaɪt, ˈruːmənaɪt| Also r(o)umanite. [ad. G. rumänit (O. Helm 1891, in Schr. d. Natürforsch. Ges. in Danzig VII. iv. 186), f. Rumänia Romania: see -ite1.] A variety of amber containing sulphur and succinic acid and found in Romania.
