Bence-Jones|ˈbɛns ˈdʒəʊnz| The name of Henry Bence-Jones (1813–1873), English physician, applied attrib. to a protein found esp. in the urine in the disease myelomatosis, and characterized by precipitation on moderate heating followed by re-solution at higher temperatures.
