Also black-boy, blackboy.
1. A boy having a black or very dark skin; spec. (a) = black man 1; (b) a Negro manservant (cf. boy n.1 3).

2. An Australian grass-tree of the genus Xanthorrhœa, having a thick dark trunk and a head of grass-like leaves, exp. Xanthorrhœa preissii.
