ˈseed-box 1. The receptacle for the seed in a grain-drill or seed-sowing-machine.
1733Tull Horse-Hoeing Husb. xxii. 315 Of these [parts of the Drill] the Seed-Box is the chief; it measures (or rather numbers) out the Seed which it receives from the Hopper. 1831Loudon Encycl.
