1868Let. in Daily News 29 Sept., ‘Cablegram’..is a mongrel and unsatisfactory term; instead of which, allow me to suggest one regularly and analogically formed—‘Calogram’, from the Greek word κάλως, a cable. 1879Ibid. 14 Oct. 6/2, I would suggest that the word ‘Calogram’ be used in place of ‘Cablegram’. |
