‖ sextula Antiq.|ˈsɛkstjʊlə| Also (in Dicts.) anglicized sextule. [L., dim. of sexta (sc. pars), fem. of sextus sixth.] The sixth part of a Roman ounce (uncia). Also a Roman land measure, the sixth of an uncia. Hence † ˈsextulary a. [after mod.L. sextulāris], of a ‘sextula’.
