choliamb Pros.|ˈkəʊlɪæmb| [ad. L. chōliambus, a. Gr. χωλίαµβος, f. χωλ-ός lame, halting + ἴαµβ-ος iambus; cf. F. choliambe.] An iambic verse with a spondee or trochee instead of an iambus in the last (sixth) foot; a scazon.
