chromed, ppl. a. (Formerly s.v. chrome v. in Dict.: quots moved here from former Dict. entry.)|krəʊmd| [f. chrome n., chrome v. + -ed2, -ed1.] 1. Dyeing. Treated with a solution of a chromium-containing salt (see chrome n. 2 b) such as potassium dichromate.
