chrysoidine Chem.|krɪˈsəʊɪdaɪn, -ˈɔɪdaɪn| [f. Gr. χρῡσοειδ-ής like gold + -ine.] A colouring base (C12H12N4) intermediate in composition between aniline yellow and phenylene brown. The chrysoidine of commerce is the hydrochloride, a salt of a splendid orange-yellow colour.
