Skiatron Electronics.|ˈskaɪətrɒn| Also skiatron. [f. Gr. σκιά shadow + -tron.] A proprietary name for a type of cathode-ray tube in which the electron beam produces a dark trace. Also attrib., esp. as Skiatron tube.
