† Cretize, v. Obs. or arch.|kriːtaɪz| [ad. Gr. κρητίζειν to play the Cretan, to lie, cheat, f. κρήτη Crete. (Cf. Titus i. 12.)] 1. intr. To play the Cretan, i.e. to lie, tell lies.
