Origin: Formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: just so adj., story n.
Etymology: < just so adj. + story n.Originally (in sense 1) with reference to, and frequently with allusion to, stories by Rudyard Kipling which appeared under this collective title (compare quots. 1897, 1902 at sense 1).
