Etymology: < auto- comb. form1 + -poietic comb. form, after autopoiesis n. Compare Spanish autopoiético ( H. R. Maturana & F. G. Varela De máquinas y seres vivos (1972) v. 67).
Relating to or characterized by autopoiesis; self-maintaining and self-regulating.
