1925 Glasgow Herald 16 June 6 These new elements have been named by their discoverers ‘Masurium’, after the Masurian Lake region, and ‘Rhenium’, after the Rhineland.

1984 N. N. Greenwood & A. Earnshaw Chem. of Elements (1986) xxiv. 1211 The Noddacks also claimed to have detected element 43 and named it masurium after Masuren in Prussia.
2000 Sci. Amer. Feb. 9/2 By essentially running a series of virtual experiments, Armstrong found that the masurium data are indeed consistent with the presence of element 43 in the columbite ores.
