释义 | mycangiumn. Entomology. A structure containing symbiotic fungi or fungal spores, found in many wood-boring insects such as ambrosia beetles and wood wasps. ΚΠ 1963 L. R. Batra in Trans. Kansas Acad. Sci. 66 226 Francke-Grosmann in 1956 reported that certain wood boring Ipidae carried viable inoculum in sac-like structures located at particular sites and characteristic of the species. It was subsequently shown that such fungal repositories were of wide occurrence among ambrosia beetles. These structures are here referred to as mycangia. 1977 O. W. Richards & R. G.
