Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin photometria.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin photometria (J. H. Lambert Photometria (1760)) < photo- photo- comb. form + -metria -metry comb. form. Compare French photométrie (J. H. Lambert Les propriétés remarquables de la route de la lumiere par les airs (1758) 4–5).
