Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: script n.1, -ed suffix2; script v., -ed suffix1.
Etymology: Partly < script n.1 + -ed suffix2, and partly < script v. + -ed suffix1. Compare scripting n. and slightly earlier scripter n.
1. With preceding modifying adverb. Of a film, television or radio programme, play, etc.: having a script of the specified quality; written well, badly, etc.
