Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin subangulatus.
Etymology: < scientific Latin subangulatus (1753 or earlier) < classical Latin sub- sub- prefix + angulātus angulate adj. Compare earlier subangulated adj., and also subangular adj., subangled adj.
Botany and Zoology.
Possessing a slight or obtuse angle.
