Gudenaa

a river on the Jutland Peninsula; the major river in Denmark. Length, 158 km. Basin area, 2,650 sq km. It flows through several lakes and empties into the Randers Fjord of the Kattegat. The river is fed by rainwater. It flows high all year. It is navigable from the city of Randers. There are some small hydroelectric power plants on the Gudenaa, and the cities of Silkeborg and Randers are located on it.
