Nezhevenko, Grigorii Semenovich

Born Sept. 9 (22), 1912, at the Golta railroad station, present-day Pervomaisk, Nikolaev Oblast, Lathe operator and innovator at the V. I. Lenin Machine-tool Plant in Odessa. Member of the CPSU since 1943; one of the initiators of high-speed cutting of metals as an industrial production process.

The introduction of advanced labor methods proposed by Nezhevenko made possible a substantial reduction in the time required for machining of parts and an improvement in their quality.

He was a delegate at the Twenty-second Congress of the CPSU (1961).
