Kegums

an urban-type settlement in Ogre Raion, Latvian SSR. Situated on the right bank of the Daugava (Zapadnaia Dvina), 46 km above Riga. Kegums has a railroad station on the Moscow-Riga line. The Kegums hydroelectric power plant (68,000 kilowatts) and a fish hatchery are there.
