King, Larry

(1933– ) radio/television host; born in New York City. A radio broadcaster in Miami at age 25, he wrote entertainment columns for the Miami Herald in the 1970s. In 1978 he began a national late-night radio show on the Mutual Network. He was host of CNN TV's Larry King Live (1985), an interview/call-in show, most famous for being the occasion where Ross Perot announced his presidential intentions in 1992.
