The National Basilica of Ste Geneviève, with a 15th-century nave, is in Nanterre.Nanterrea city in France, an industrial suburb on the Seine River northwest of Paris; capital of the department of Hauts-de-Seine. Population, 91,000 (1968). Machine building (including motor vehicle construction), electrical engineering, and toy manufacturing are among the industries of Nanterre.
