The city is an industrial center that manufactures automobiles, tractors, and agricultural machinery. Mladá Boleslav

 

a city in Czechoslovakia, located in Central Bohemia in the Czech Socialist Republic. Population, 32,000 (1971). Railroad junction. Mladá Boleslav is one of the main centers of Czechoslovakia’s automobile industry, where passenger cars, primarily compact models, are assembled in the reconstructed former Škoda plant, as well as in a new plant built during the 1960’s. Škoda automobiles are of great export significance.
