Roche, Eamonn Kevin Roche, Eamonn Kevin (1922–)Irish-born American architect, formed the successor firm to Eero Saarinen in the 1950s with John Gerald Dinkeloo (1918–1981). Their first work was the Oakland Museum, CA (1961) a vast structure covering four city blocks. The best known is the Ford Foundation Headquarters (illus.), NYC (1963), with a 12-story indoor atrium. The later work includes the extension to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, including the Pavilion for the Ancient Egyptian Temple of Dendur. |
