Psychic Development

Psychic Development

(religion, spiritualism, and occult)

Everyone is born with psychic abilities. In some people, the abilities come out quite naturally; in others they suddenly emerge after an accident or traumatic event (see Peter Hurkos). In still others they must be brought out through a series of exercises over a period of time. Such things as meditation, affirmations, and psychometry can all help in the development. As with most things, practice makes perfect. Children usually have better developed psychic abilities than do adults, who have had most of their natural ability drilled out of them by the mundane world and by the intolerance of most established religions.
