Zhovtnevoe
a city (since 1961), and the administrative center of Zhovtnevoe Raion, Nikolaev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. The city is a landing on the luzhnyi Bug River, 15 km south of Nikolaev. Zhovtnevoe has the Zhovtnevaia railroad station. Population, 31,000 (1970). Zhovtnevoe has a repair factory, a medical school, and a branch of the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Technicum.
