Bogdo Bolshoe

a mountain in the northern part of the Caspian Lowland, in Astrakhan Oblast, RSFSR. A solitary peak, it rises south of Lake Baskunchak to an elevation of 149 m. Bogdo Bol’shoe is the edge of a salt boss covered with sandstone, clay, and limestone. Mount Bogdo Maloe (maximum elevation, 37 m) rises to the northeast of Lake Baskunchak in western Kazakh SSR.
