Ginneken, Jacobus Johannes Antonius Van

 

Born Apr. 21, 1877, in Oudenbosch; died in 1945 in Nijmegen. Dutch linguist; specialist in general linguistics. Professor at the university in Nijmegen.

Ginneken was one of the originators of the study of the social and psychological aspects of linguistics. He was the author of Principles of Linguistic Psychology: An Experiment of Synthesis (1907), Race and Language (1935), and Secrets of Human Language (1946).
