dedicatory, a. and n.|ˈdɛdɪkeɪtərɪ, -kətərɪ| [f. L. type *dēdicātōri-us, f. dēdicātōr-em dedicator: see -ory. Cf. mod.F. dédicatoire.] A. adj. Relating to, or of the nature of, dedication; that has the attribute of dedicating, serving to dedicate. Used chiefly of literary dedication, as in epistle dedicatory.
