discifloral, a. Bot.|dɪsɪˈflɔərəl| [f. L. discus, disci- disc + -flōrus flowering, flowered + -al1: cf. floral.] Having flowers with the receptacle enlarged into a conspicuous disc surrounding the ovary: spec. applied to a series of orders of polypetalous exogens (Discifloræ in Eng. Bot., ed. 3, 1863) having this character, including Rutaceæ, etc.
