A name given to things shaped like the neck of a goose.

1940E. C. Studholme Te Waimate 155 The Woods was probably the first string binder tried here. It was known as the ‘goose-neck’ binder because it had a long circular arm resembling the neck of a goose, which threw the sheaves away.
