1896Jrnl. Chem. Soc. LXX. ii. 112 (heading) Hautefeuillite, a new mineral from Bamle, Norway. 1937Amer. Mineralogist XXII. 337 Michel..introduces the name hautefeuillite for a bobierrite-like mineral which, according to his analysis, differs from bobierrite..in its optical orientation. However, the redetermined optical properties of bobierrite correspond to those of hautefeuillite as given by Michel. Ibid. 338 Until more evidence is produced..it seems best to discard hautefeuillite as a mineral name. 1955M. H. Hey Index Min. Species (ed. 2) 232 Hautefeuillite. (Mg,Ca)3PO4.8H2O... Has been interpreted as a mixture of Bobierrite..and Apatite..but the H2O is very high for this interpretation, and further study is desirable. |
