leschenaultia|lɛʃəˈnəʊtɪə| Also lechenaultia. [mod.L. (R. Brown Floræ Novæ Hollandiæ (1810) 581), f. the name of L.T. Leschenault de la Tour (1773–1826), French botanist and traveller + -ia1.] A herb or evergreen shrub of the Australian genus so called, belonging to the family Goodeniaceæ and bearing red, blue, white, or yellow flowers.
