met-enkephalin, n. Biochem.|ˌmɛtɛnˈkɛfəlɪn| Also metenkephalin. [ad. F. met-enképhaline (coined by R. Guillemin et al. 1976, in Compt. Rend. D. CCLXXXII. 784): cf. methionine n., enkephalin n.] The enkephalin whose peptide chain ends with a methionine unit.
