Rosh Hashana (‖ roʃ haʃaˈna, rəʊʃ həˈʃəʊnəʊ) Also Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashonoh, etc. [Heb., lit. ‘head of the year’.] The Jewish New Year, celebrated on the first and second day of the month Tishri.
