cardol Chem.|ˈkɑːdɒl, -əʊl| Also 9 -ole. [a. G. cardol (G. Städeler 1847, in Ann. d. Chem. u. Pharm. LXIII. 141), f. mod.L. ana-card-ium, generic name of the cashew tree + -ol 3.] A vesicatory oil, C15H27·C6H3(OH)2, obtained from the pericarp of the cashew-nut.
