Sigatoka|sɪŋgəˈtəʊkə| Also Sing-. [Name of the district of Fiji where the disease was first observed.] Used attrib. and absol. to designate a disease of banana plants caused by the fungus Cercospora musæ, characterized by the appearance on the leaves of elongated spots, followed by rotting of the entire leaves.
