Etymology: < Ibiza, Iviça, one of the Balearic Islands + Spanish -eño, suffix forming nouns and adjectives from place names.
A type of hound, said to be descended from ancient Egyptian hunting dogs, native to the island of Ibiza and characterized by large, pointed, pricked ears and white, fawn, or reddish-brown colouring; also as adj.; also called Ibizan or Balearic hound.
