Origin: A borrowing from Greek, combined with an English element. Etymons: Greek μακροκέϕαλος , -ic suffix.
Etymology: < ancient Greek μακροκέϕαλος (see macrocephalus n.) + -ic suffix. Compare earlier macrocephalous adj., microcephalic adj.
Of a head or skull: unusually long (now rare, perhaps obsolete); disproportionately or abnormally large. Of a person or animal: having an abnormally long or large head.
