Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French nul et non avenu.
Etymology: < French nul et non avenu (1829 in legal use) < nul null adj. + et and + non avenu non avenu adj.
Not having happened; (spec. of a legal agreement) annulled, completely invalidated.
