1869 R. Bridges Fownes's Man. Elem. Chem. (ed. 10) 726 Oxalic acid forms two monureides—namely, parabanic acid or paraban, analogous to alloxan; and oxaluric acid.
1873 C. H. Ralfe Outl. Physiol. Chem. p. xxviii Kreatin is a monureide, and so are paraban and alloxan, which are obtained by the oxidation of uric acid.
